The year is 2099.

​

Although warned time and again by scientists and climate experts, the citizens of the Earth and their governments have failed to protect their planet.

 

Through hesitation, half measures, delays, lack of courage and stalemate, the Earth has become inhabitable. Rising sea levels and temperatures, pollution and lack of water have made living on their home planet untenable for humans. Many have already perished, but the survivors, determined to avoid the extinction of their kind, have decided to move to a (slightly) more hospitable planet, their neighbor Mars. Thousands of transports have already departed for Musk City, the red planet’s capital. Bittersweet, with survivors feeling a mix of guilt, fear and hope, the evacuation is almost complete.
